We understand the importance of the early years and the impact it has in shaping a child's future, and we strive to create a solid foundation and desire for lifelong learning in partnership with you, the parents. We believe that a strong bond between parents and pre-school is imperative for the benefit of the children, working together as a team, we aim to be an extension of your family, supporting each other for the good of all.
Curriculum
Our curriculum is based on in the moment planning, aimed at catering to the individual need and interests of each child. We follow a play-based approach, whereby, children are encouraged firstly, to gain social skills which will stay with them for the rest of their lives, followed by age-appropriate learning through exploring, discovering and through hands-on experiences.
Our playroom is filled with age-appropriate materials and resources that promote creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
What We Offer
At Paddington Pre School, we believe that learning should extend beyond the classroom. We offer a variety of enrichment activities, including discovering music, art, physical education, and language development, to provide a well-rounded, social & educational experience both in and out doors. Our well-equipped outdoor garden play area is designed to promote both physical and imaginative skills as well as gross and fine motor skills, spatial awareness and encourage active play whilst helping them develop life skills such as sharing, caring and problem solving.
Tapestry
All our staff are DBS checked and trained in first aid emergency procedures. We operate the Tapestry Learning Journal which is a fantastic way of home and school working together to record each child's progress. If you have anything to share with us from home especially 'WOW' moments, Tapestry gives you the chance to capture it and share with us and we make observations and monitor each child's progress and share with you, the parent. Each child is allocated their own Key Person and we maintain a low student to Key Person ratio to ensure personalised attention and care for each child.
